For Survivors
Professional success does not make you immune to domestic abuse. You can be capable, accomplished and respected while navigating a very different reality behind closed doors.

Module One
Module One: The Myth of the Professional Survivor
Module One explores the assumptions and stereotypes that can make the experiences of Professional Survivors difficult to recognise — both by others and sometimes within their own understanding of what they are experiencing.
Across three sessions, you will explore how professional identity, financial circumstances and working life may intersect with domestic abuse, while challenging the expectation that professional competence, success or status provide immunity from victimisation.
Through The VAL Framework™ — Validation, Awareness and Learning, you will be invited to reflect on your own experiences, challenge shame and recognise that professional identity and the experience of domestic abuse can coexist.

The Professional Survivor: Insight Programmes

The VAL Framework™
The VAL Framework™ is the foundation of all Insight Programmes delivered by Kristy Holdsworth: The Professional Survivor®. Built on three interconnected principles: Validation, Awareness and Learning, the framework provides a practical and evidence-informed pathway for personal, professional and organisational growth:
- Validation creates psychological safety, reduces defensiveness and acknowledges the reality of individual experiences.
- Awareness encourages individuals and organisations to explore beliefs, behaviours, assumptions and patterns that may influence decisions, relationships and outcomes.
- Learning transforms awareness into understanding. By gaining knowledge people are empowered to move beyond shame, stigma or limiting beliefs, enabling them to engage more authentically with themselves and others.
