Module One: Allies in Advocacy Module One introduces the Professional Survivor lens for professionals who may support, represent, work therapeutically with, or make decisions affecting Professional Survivors of domestic abuse. . Across three sessions, participants explore how professional identity, status, knowledge and apparent resources may influence the recognition, understanding and response to domestic abuse. Throughout this programme, you will learn through The VAL Framework™ while developing a lens that can be taken into your own professional practice: validating experience, developing awareness of context and learning from the Professional Survivor, enabling you to better understand what their professional identity, knowledge and circumstances mean for them as an individual.
